Arsenal's January transfer priorities may have changed following the news of Gabriel Jesus' injury. The Brazilian was substituted off against Cameroon with early reports suggesting he would only be sidelined for three or four weeks.
However, reports in Brazil suggested the injury was worse than first feared and he could be out until at least March. It now looks as though those reports were accurate with the latest news suggesting Jesus may be out of action until late February.
The Gunners forward was confirmed to miss the rest of Brazil's World Cup campaign after being forced off with a knee injury in the 1-0 defeat to Cameroon. After returning to England from Qatar for further assessment, it has been reported by the Telegraph that Jesus suffered medial ligament damage and it is understood that he will need an operation to repair the problem.
