Aaron Ramsdale: One outstanding save to keep out Mo Salah in the second half. Was fortunate with the penalty but earned his luck with some smart keeping. Superb save late on to keep Nunez also, but the final stops from Salah and Konate were the best. 9.
Ben White: Not a good day at the office for the England defender. Poor in possession consistently and not great in his one-vs-one duels. Allowed Liverpool chances to advance down the left too often. 5.
Rob Holding: Did give away the penalty but it was more bad luck than bad judgement. Solid aside from that against a very difficult opponent. 7.

Gabriel: A rock once again at the back. Practically man marked Salah while also playing centre back. Very few other defenders in the league could pull off such a demanding task. 8.
Oleksandr Zinchenko: Played very narrow when in possession as is his custom. Didn't provide Arsenal with the control they might have hoped for but that's very hard to do at Anfield in fairness. Poor for the final goal though when allowing Alexander-Arnold to get by him, 6.
Thomas Partey: Defensively pretty good, but failed to track his runner in the build-up to Liverpool's goal back. Some nice passes that on another day could have been game-changing. 7.
Granit Xhaka: People will focus on his unnecessary scuffle with Alexander-Arnold, but he had been doing a good job up until then supporting the Arsenal attack. Maybe needs to work on his mastery of the dark arts if he intends to do it as much as he did here going forward though. 7.
Martin Odegaard: Not at his most influential, particularly when Arsenal had to defend deeper in the second half. Still part of some decent build-up play in the first half. 6.
Bukayo Saka: Key in the first goal, and when Arsenal were on top his wicked delivery caused Liverpool plenty of problems. Really faded second period though. 7.
Gabriel Jesus: Was unplayable in the early period when Arsenal were on top. Maybe ill-advised to rile the home fans with some playacting, but his professional target man job in the second half deserves praise. 8.
Gabriel Martinelli: Arsenal's best attacker in the first half with a well-taken goal and superb assist. Caused Trent all manner of problems defensively and was good on the counter second period. 8.
