Kai Havertz came off the bench to earn Arsenal a 1-1 draw away at Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Mikel Arteta’s side were well off their best for much of the night at the BayArena and fell behind when Robert Andrich headed in from a corner early in the second half.
