It was a mixed transfer deadline day for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal.
Former captain and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left the club for a free transfer to Barcelona after multiple years at the Emirates.
Juventus striker Alvaro Morata made it clear to the Gunners he has no intentions of returning to England and the Premier League in a hammer blow for Mikel Arteta's side.
However, the north London outfit did sign one player at the end of the January transfer window – although Colorado Rapids's MLS star Auston Trusty won't arrive until the end of the season.
Here are Mirror Football's latest Arsenal headlines.

Aubameyang gets his move
Having fallen out with coach Arteta and losing the captaincy, Aubameyang has left Arsenal after spending four years to the day at the club.
Aubameyang's last game for the Gunners was on December 5 and despite the club lacking strikers, the former Borussia Dortmund frontman has been allowed to leave and join Spanish side Barcelona.
The reason for the move makes sense when you factor in how much the striker is on and what getting his wage off Arsenal's book allows them to do in the future.
However, the lateness of the move has meant there will be no replacement coming in up front at the Emirates Stadium.
Morata's decision is final
A late attempt to replace Aubameyang failed after Juventus striker Morata opted to stay in Italy.
The Old Lady signed Dusan Vlahovic, once a target for the Gunners, meaning Morata is likely to see less playing time.
However, a late move to north London was out of the question for the former Chelsea forward.
According to Sport, the Spanish international would rather see out his loan spell in Turin than return to the Premier League.
MLS star London bound
It wasn't all bad for Arsenal in the transfer market on deadline day.
The club completed a move for Auston Trusty from Colorado Rapids and loaned him back to the MLS side until the end of the season.
Arsenal have already confirmed what they will do with the 23-year-old next season as they plan for the future.
"Trusty, 23, will stay with the Colorado Rapids until at least the end of the Premier League season in May. The intention then is to loan him in Europe for the 2022/23 season to further progress his development," an Arsenal statement read.
