According to reports, Arsenal have 'offered' Lucas Torreira to Lazio as they try to offload the midfielder this summer.
Transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reported earlier this month that loanee Torreira wouldn't join Serie A side Fiorentina permanently, having spent this season on loan with the Italian outfit. La Viola was said to have the option to sign the Uruguayan international on a permanent basis for €15million (£13million) this summer. Still, Di Marzio has claimed that Torreira will return to the Gunners.
However, Torreira then took to social media to post a picture of him holding the home jersey of La Viola, perhaps in reply to the reports claiming that he won't be making his loan move a permanent one.

And Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano has previously made it no secret of his admiration for the 26-year-old. Speaking to Football Italia last month, Italiano said: "The playmaker is the fulcrum of the team. So if the midfield is running smoothly, the whole side runs smoothly. This is one of the main principles of football.
"Lucas brought balance and has been prolific in front of goal too, showing his extraordinary quality. There are no doubts over what he can give this squad in future."
Now, according to Corriere dello sport, as cited by the Mirror, The Gunners are looking to find another suitor for Torreira. As a result, Lazio has emerged as a potential landing spot. Torreira is one of several options being looked at by Maurizio Sarri's men, with the former Chelsea boss looking to add some toughness to Lazio's midfield.
The Uruguayan doesn't have a future at Arsenal, with the Gunners desperate to get him off their books. The midfielder is a long-term target for Lazio as Sarri wanted to sign him last summer, as well as his predecessor Simone Inzaghi. Lazio would prefer to secure a loan deal, however, which Mikel Arteta's men are against currently.
