Welcome to our football.london The Arsenal Way daily news round-up.
Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all.
Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.
The Gunners are handed a late January transfer blow in the pursuit of a striker to replace Dusan Vlahovic but Edu has quickly turned his attention on securing another Serie A star.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has reportedly found his Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang replacement but faces competition from a host of European royalty.
Let's take a look at the above stories in more detail...
Real Madrid hand Edu transfer blow
Real Madrid have no interest in selling Arsenal target Luka Jovic, according to Spanish outlet Marca.
The Serbian striker has failed to establish himself at the Santiago Bernabeu since arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019 for an eye-watering £56 million.
Marca report that the Gunners are looking to sign a striker before the end of the January transfer window as it looks ever more likely that Edu misses out on Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic.
Our view: I wouldn't lose any sleep over this. Yes, he could plug a gap until the end of the season and then you re-evaluate but Arsenal have bigger fish to fry.
Arsenal join PL rivals for Auba replacement
Arsenal have joined the race to sign PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
The 22-year-old has continued to impress for the Dutch side this season, having already directly contributed towards 21 goals in 28 games this season.
Foot Mercato report that Arteta's side has been handed a boost in the race to secure Gakpo's signature after Bayern Munich pulled the plug on a deal.
However, the report adds that Edu still faces competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.
Our view: Gakpo would be an excellent signing for Arsenal and his arrival would still leave the door open for a striker too.
The Netherlands international has courted interest from some of Europe's leading sides and City's interest, with their track record of successful signings, should be enough of an indicator as to whether Edu should strike a deal.
Let's just hope it wouldn't be another Memphis Depay to Manchester United situation!
Gunners find Vlahovic alternative
Arsenal have registered interest in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia.
The report claims that Newcastle United are also reportedly keen on the 23-year-old, in a deal which the Italian side would be prepared to sell for at least €70 million (£66m).
Osimhen has emerged as a potential target following the Gunners' failed pursuit of Vlahovic but Edu has just a few days to crack a deal.
Our view: As good as Vlahovic has been in the last 18 months, I actually think that Osimhen would be a better all-round signing for the Gunners, from a business and sporting point of view.
But also culturally too; the Napoli striker has done well in the Belgian top-flight, Ligue 1 and, currently, the Serie A which shows his ability to perform under various philosophies and styles.
