Leandro Trossard has told his Arsenal team-mates to believe now is the moment to end their 11-year wait for a win at Anfield.
The Gunners are travelling to Liverpool on Saturday in what is a huge game in the title race.
Arsenal are currently top of the table, but they are just one point clear of Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Gunners have a miserable record at Anfield and they last won there in the Premier League in 2012, when current manager Mikel Arteta was still playing.
But Trossard believes Arsenal have the quality to match Liverpool and they can finally claim a long-awaited win at Anfield.
“They (Liverpool) have such a good squad and such a great team, and you can tell how they are evolving this season as well, how well they are doing,” he told Canal+.
“It is always a really tough place to go to get points from, so we have to be so, so good in the game and on the day to get away with points and, hopefully, the three points.
“I think we are in a good moment now. We had a really good game against Brighton. We have got the momentum going again and we have such a good squad.
“If everyone is at their best, we can beat them there. Obviously, there are numerous factors that can decide a game - but we have to believe in ourselves that we can win there. Hopefully we can do that.”
Despite racing into a two-goal lead, Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw at Anfield last season and that result dented their title hopes.
Trossard came off the bench that afternoon and it was his second visit to Anfield of the season after scoring a hat-trick there with Brighton in October during a 3-3 draw.
“Obviously it was, for me, a moment to remember,” he added. “There are not a lot of players who get to score at Anfield, let alone a hat-trick. It is one of the best moments of my career up until now.”
