Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero was ‘bang out of order’ during his side’s defeat to Manchester United at the weekend.
The Argentine centre-back was pictured wildly celebrating in front of Red Devils’ captain Harry Maguire after he had put through his own goal to see Spurs level - Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace previously edging the hosts ahead after Harry Kane’s penalty. However, Romero’s delight did not last for too long as the Portuguese superstar secured his hat-trick with a stunning header.
Victory for Ralf Rangnick’s men - coupled with Arsenal’s 2-0 win against Leicester City - has seen the race for a Champions League place take a fresh twist. As it stands, the Gunners sit one point clear of Manchester United in fourth, whilst they hold a six-point advantage over their north London rivals Spurs.
