With the January transfer window closing on Monday, some Arsenal fans are getting rather creative in their search for new signings.
It's been a busy month at the Emirates Stadium so far, with as many as five first-team players leaving either on loan or permanently as Mikel Arteta and Edu's overhaul continues to take shape.
But whilst Sead Kolasinac, Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, Folarin Balogun and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have all departed, the Gunners are yet to add to their first-team squad.
And there could still be two further departures with Eddie Nketiah linked with a move to Newcastle United and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang attracting interest from Barcelona, as well as Juventus.
The good news for any Arsenal supporter who has become frustrated with the lack of incomings is that the window will remain open until 11pm on Monday night.
This means there is still plenty of time to get some business done.
What would represent a successful deadline day for the north London outfit is signing a new centre-forward, amid links to the likes of Alexander Isak, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jonathan David and Alvaro Morata.
But there is also a demand among some Gunners fans to bring in a central midfielder to give the squad a boost going into the second half of the season.
Considering that the squad will be in Dubai for a warm-weather training camp until next Wednesday, if Edu was to complete a deal for Ruben Neves - as an example - he could join up with his new teammates in the Middle East.
Although, there's a brilliant theory that the Gunners' 'new midfield signing' is already training with the squad.
Judging by the responses to Arsenal's 'Behind the scenes at the NAS Sport Complex' video uploaded to YouTube, many believe that Jack Wilshere and even Arteta himself would be capable of playing in central midfield.
Albert Kirimi said: "The way Arteta is training, he will be in the starting lineup as a midfielder!"
Qwst Fintech asked: "Jack, Teta and Xhaka taking us to top 4. Wenger's dream come true?"
EA said: "Jack might be signing for arsenal he’s wearing the No.12 while before we just had JW so he might be coming back to the carpet."
Ahmad Ridho said: "No cm? Don't worry. Arteta and Wilshere is ready to carry."
David Nyagaka said: "Wilshere 12. Seems we have a midfielder."
G D said: "Jack wearing no12 looks like we got a midfielder lol."
Christopher Y said: "Yes Jack Wilshere signing for Arsenal I am sure!!!"
Whilst the idea of Wilshere rejoining Arsenal on a short-term deal to provide cover in central midfield is a pleasing one, in reality it's unlikely to happen.
This is because football.london understands the midfielder is attracting interest from clubs in Greece and Italy as well as the Championship as he seeks to find a club for the rest of the season.
But having spent time working with the Gunners' youth set up in order to help him with his coaching badges for a potential career once he retires from professional football, maybe he will return to his boyhood club in the future.
