Arsenal fans react as Manchester United player Luke Shaw sends message to Bukayo Saka

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw sent a message to Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka on Instagram after the Gunners star returned to training after suffering an injury last weekend.

Saka has made an impressive start to the campaign, registering five goals and five assists in 17 appearances for Mikel Arteta's side, with the London club currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table. However, the England international went off injured in the Gunners' 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The 21-year-old was back in training this week, and United defender Shaw took to social media to praise his England teammate after Saka posted a photo of himself.

Shaw labelled Bukayo Saka as a 'star boy' after the Arsenal star captioned his post: "The Lord is my strength", which was also met with a praying emoji from AC Milan's Fikayo Tomori.

The interaction between Shaw and Saka led to several responses from Gunners supporters, one of whom asked the former to join Arteta's side. Here is how some Arsenal fans reacted to the United man's comment:

@ja000.9: join him at Arsenal

@akanbi_ii: Real recognise real

@danny.matoski_: big respect lad. Keep up the good work !!

@rithkal.sport: shaw know ball

@brodybordy109: love to see it

Both Shaw and Saka are expected to be included in Gareth Southgate's Three Lions squad for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, with the pair backed by many to start the first game against Iran.

Next weekend will mark the final round of fixtures in domestic football before the season pauses for the tournament, which finishes on December 18.
