Oleksandr Zinchenko will wear the number 35 shirt at Arsenal following his exit from Manchester City this summer, according to Arsenal Direct. The 25-year-old, who has penned a four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium, is the Gunners' fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus.
The Ukraine international's move to north London follows Mikel Arteta's mission to undergo an overhaul this summer. And, with the north Londoners plotting a push to salvage Champions League qualification, Zinchenko will take the number from Lucas Torreira who previously donned the number, if the club's official online store is to be believed.
Gabriel Martinelli and Mohamed Elneny both also enjoyed the number 35 at some stage during their time at Arsenal. With the Gunners welcoming their next number 35, Arteta is looking forward to working with Zinchenko.
