The key Arsenal transfer headlines on Thursday, July 28.
Lucas Paqueta setback
Arsenal have been dealt a significant blow in their chase for Lyon's Lucas Paqueta after he was left 'unconvinced' by a potential move to the club, report L'Equipe.
It's added that Manchester City and north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are the most credible options for the player, who is reportedly valued at around £50m.
Arsenal continue to be linked with central midfielders including Paqueta and Leicester City's Youri Tielemans, although any further additions appear to be dependent on outgoings.

Bernd Leno nears exit
Fulham have reached an agreement in principle with Arsenal over the signing of goalkeeper Bernd Leno in a deal worth £8m, according to Sky Sports.
It's believed Leno will have a medical and discuss personal terms once 'finer' details have been sorted. The 30-year-old was absent from Arsenal's behind-closed-doors friendly against Brentford at London Colney on Wednesday and was spotted by fans leaving the training ground early.
Nuno Tavares loan move off
Nuno Tavares' proposed loan move to Atalanta is 'off', according to Italian journalist Michele Criscitiello. It comes after the Serie A side reportedly refused Arsenal's request for a straight loan without an option to buy.
Atalanta are now said to have moved onto other targets following a breakdown in talks over the left-back. It means that Edu will be tasked with finding a solution for the 22-year-old, who is available on loan after the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Tavares joined the club last summer in a deal worth around £7m but often struggled due to his inexperience. It's left Mikel Arteta open to the idea of loaning him out in order to improve his development with regular game time.
