Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United told Raphinha price amid honest transfer admission

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been told what they must pay to secure the signing of Raphinha this summer with reports suggesting Leeds United will demand more than £45million for his signature.

The 25-year-old scored 11 league goals last season as Leeds survived a relegation battle on the very last day of their 2021/22 Premier League campaign. While they beat the drop, Raphinha is still expected to leave the Yorkshire club this summer, having attracted interest from some of the biggest sides in Europe, including the three clubs mentioned above.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, as cited by the Metro, Leeds will hold out for a fee in excess of £45million for Raphinha. Even though it's a lot of money, for someone of his quality, it's still a reasonable price.

Whether he wants to leave is of course another matter. Speaking to the press ahead of Brazil’s 1-0 friendly win over Japan on Monday, Raphinha made it clear that he intends to do anything to make Tite's squad for the World Cup.

"If I say that it doesn't matter [making the squad], I would be lying," he said. "Knowing that there are less than six months left for the Cup, you have to be active in the clubs, that weighs on the decision, but I trust my potential.

"If it's to stay or leave, I'll do my best, look for my space and I'll try to be well for the World Cup."

Questions then followed about his future at Leeds, to which he replied: "The next game, against Japan. Then I go on vacation. I have a contract with Leeds until 2024, my future is in the hands of Deco and Leeds, I have my mind on the national team, on the game and also on my vacation, we need a vacation.

"I have a contract with Leeds and this issue is resolved by my manager, when something is right, he sends [it to] me."
