Arsenal are making preparations for another huge summer transfer window that could move them a step closer to having a squad ready to compete at the top for years to come. The previous few markets have proven worthwhile for the Gunners, who have been battling it out for the Premier League title.
No matter whether they get the task over the line or not, the seasons continue to roll on and plans for the next few years will be crucial for staying at the top. Sporting director Edu Gaspar already revealed that discussions are underway over the plan for the upcoming summer window.
Edu told football.london at the London Football Awards last month: "It’s already started [preparation for the summer] because you know what’s happening in the market everybody is doing stuff. You have to plan with people as well just to be prepared so when you go again in the summer you are very prepared."

A few positions could be targeted, however the main one appears to be the midfield department, where a refresh could be in order. football.london understands that West Ham and England star Declan Rice is of interest to the side heading into the next few months.
With Rice's contract running down towards the final 12-months, it could be the perfect time to try and land the Hammers captain. Equally, they could make any potential transition to the club easier with another arrival as reports claim that talks have been held over a move for Chelsea star Mason Mount.
The midfielder finds himself in a similar position with his contract and a switch away from Stamford Bridge seems more and more likely. Should the pair make the switch, it would put together a new energy in the dressing room, given that they are already best friends.
"Yeah. We [Mount and Rice] are always together," Mount said in 2019 in an interview with the Guardian. "So some of the [England] boys are like... are you ever going to leave each other alone? They call us Dumb and Dumber."
It could be a double swoop that improves the Arsenal ranks in quality and depth going into next season, but with a pair that already know each other well enough to settle in quickly.
