Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall conceded that mistakes were part of football but said it was natural for him and his side to be upset after Manchester City’s controversial goal in their 1-1 draw in the Barclay’s Women’s Super League.
After a goalless first half, Man City took the lead after Bunny Shaw calmly slotted the ball in the back of the net from close range with 25 minutes to go.
However, the ball had deflected off referee Abigail Byrne in the build-up and both Eidevall and his players believed this had favoured the home side in the build-up to the strike.
