Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly been involved in a car accident in Los Angeles after a bicycle allegedly swerved into his lane.
The actor, 75, was said to be driving around the city on Sunday morning when the incident occurred. It's said the bike "made contact" with the star's car before he had a chance to slow down.
The incident was seemingly confirmed by witnesses at the scene after they spoke to a group of police officers with further details, with the Terminator star also seen speaking to the police.
The cyclist was said to have been taken to hospital by first responders, where she is reportedly in a stable condition and has been treated for minor injuries.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said that officers responded to the call and arrived on scene at around 10:30am local time.
The location of the collision was at San Vicente Boulevard and Burlingame Avenue in Brentwood.
Officers have not issued the names of the people involved in the crash.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Schwarzenegger does not appear to be at fault. An investigation has since been launched, with it already being ruled that the actor could not have done anything to avoid the impact.
He has since taken the bicycle to a local shop for repair work. The actor is known to be an avid cyclist and is often spotted out and about in Los Angeles.
It’s not the first collision Schwarzenegger has been involved in, after his GMC Yukon collided with a Toyota Prius in January last year.
The crash caused a multi-car accident, with the Prius rolling into a Porsche Taycan after impact.
The incident also occurred in Brentwood, with emergency services attending the scene to treat the driver of the Prius, who was bleeding heavily from her head.
An investigation was opened, with neither drugs nor alcohol suspected to be factors in the incident. No arrests were made.
However, Schwarzenegger was found to be at fault by law enforcement, as he reportedly made an illegal left turn.
A representative for the actor later spoke to People and expressed that he had not been hurt in the incident.
They added that his “only concern...is for the woman who was injured.”
