Armed police swarm Cardiff street with weapons pointed at a house

UPDATE: Police have confirmed an arrest following this incident.

Armed police blocked a Cardiff road this morning and pointed guns at a house close to Trowbridge Primary School. The incident happened at around 10.20am on Wednesday in Brynbala Way.

A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: "Officers were carrying out enquiries at an address in Trowbridge, Cardiff, today as part of an ongoing investigation. Firearms officers were deployed as a precaution to ensure the safety of officers and the public."
