Does Argos price match?
Argos does not price match but on the website, it says that it does use a third party to compare the prices of brand products against competitors daily to ensure the prices remain competitive. In our experience, Argos often offers the best value for money, thanks to plenty of Argos discount codes being made available, but also the brand's regular rotation of sales and promotion deals.
Does Argos deliver?
Yes, Argos does delivery if the items are available with Fast Track delivery you are able to choose a specific time slot based on your location. If you order online prior to 5pm you can even get same day delivery for £5.95 for any urgent last-minute buys.
Alternatively, if your item is only available for standard delivery it will be sent out with a courier service between Monday and Saturday. You won’t be able to choose a time slot, but if you order before 8pm you will still be able to receive next day delivery.
Some deliveries of items such as sofas and beds will require two people. The driver will contact you on the day to discuss the delivery and help move it into the room of your choice.
How much is Argos delivery?
The price of Argos delivery will vary depending the size of the item and delivery slot. If you order a small item via fast track before 5pm for same day delivery before 10 pm it will cost £5.95. However, other fast track delivery slots are available from £3.95.
Delivery of large items starts at £8.95 for standard delivery. If you opt for next day delivery with timeslot for a larger item, Argos will show you the price of each delivery slot, but expect prices to start at £24.99.
How do I return items to Argos?
You are able to return an item 30 days from the date you collected it or when it was delivered to you. The quickest and easiest way to return something to Argos is in-store. Any Argos store or desk in Sainsbury's will accept most items apart from large items, even if they have been delivered to your home.
However, if you don’t live near an Argos you can return small items via post. Larger items can also be returned but you will need to arrange this via Argos’ live chat.
How do I contact Argos by phone?
If you need to speak to customer service you can contact Argos by phone on 0345 640 2020 from 8am to 8pm 7 days a week. You will need your order number to hand if you are calling about a specific order. Alternatively, you can get a quicker response by using Argos’ live chat service which you can find on the ‘contact us’ website page.
Hints and tips
Argos discount codes are a great way to make savings on your next purchase, but there are a few other tricks to help you snag a deal.
Look into offers: Argos regularly has great value offers, these often only last for a short period of time and range from 20% off to ‘2 toys for £20’. You should be able to quickly see if the product you are considering has an offer. Alternatively, you can keep an eye on the discount and offers page which rounds them all up together so you can plan when the best time to pounce is.
Argos highlights all its best offers and sale items on its homepage. You can easily click through to shop all qualifying products. The brand usually has a sale or offers on around 12 key events each year including Black Friday, Back to School and Easter.
Use Nectar Points: Since Argos is now a member of the Sainsbury family, you can collect and spend any Nectar points you’ve built up at Argos. The best way to do this is to link up your Nectar and Argos accounts so you can start spending points and collecting them.
You will receive 1 point for every £1 spent, and you can often find Argos running extra points deals. It is free to get a Nectar Card so it's a good idea to get one even if Sainsbury’s isn’t your local supermarket.
Take advantage of eGift Card Rewards: You can claim an eGift Card reward when you buy a qualifying product at Argos. All you need is the details from your receipt to enter the promotion website to receive your eGift Card. For example, a recent eGift Card Reward was to claim a £250 Argos eGift Card after purchasing a selected Technology or Home Appliance.
Shop the clearance: The Argo clearance runs around all year and is the easiest way to shop all of the offers and discounts in one place. It is a great place to snap up a product you might have had your eye on last year, as these will usually have the largest reductions.
Sign up for the newsletter: Customers not already signed up can get a code for £5 of £40 when they sign up for Argos Marketing emails. The sign-up is easy to find at the bottom of the homepage. All you need to give is your email address to get the code emailed to you.
How to use your Argos discount code
Using an Argos promo code couldn't be easier. Just follow these simple steps:
- Look through our list of Argos discount codes. When you find the offer best suited to you, click the ‘Get Code' or 'Get Discount’ button.
- A pop-up box will appear with the code. Press ‘copy’ to copy your code.
- Go over to the Argos website, and do your shopping as usual.

What to buy from Argos
Anyone caught up in the frenzy to get their hands on the best air fryers will know that Argos was one of the best places to get the best-performing models which are still in stock at competitive prices.
