Thursday, June 2, is a special bank holiday for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the spring bank holiday - usually taken on the last Monday of May - has been moved to Friday, June 3, to create a bumper weekend. People up and down the country will be celebrating the Queen's 70-year reign.
A whole host of street parties, regal ceremonies and parades will be taking place, with a flypast and a star-studded concert taking place around Buckingham Palace. For some people, the extra time off is a good chance to get a head-start on some DIY work.

B&Q opening hours

Wickes opening hours
Wickes will also be open as for the bank holidays, but with slightly adjusted times. On Thursday and Friday it will be open from 7am until 6pm, while on Saturday its opening times are 7am to 7pm and 10am until 4pm on Sunday.
