Arctic Haze can roll all three core Solar perks: Incandescent and Heal Clip in the third column, and Burning Ambition in the fourth. On its own, Burning Ambition is a relatively weak perk, applying scorch to unscorched targets after landing 55 percent of the magazine.
Burning Ambition is much more effective at applying scorch on already scorched targets, making it a perfect combination with Incandascent. Incandascent spreads scorch after defeating a target, and pairing it with Ember of Ashes makes the weapon an ignition generator.
If you apply scorch through abilities and prefer survivability instead, there’s Heal Clip. Heal Clip grants Cure x2 to you and Cure x1 to nearby allies when reloading after a kill. With Heal Clip, aim to get a reload speed masterwork and Tactical Mag or Flared Magwell for increased reload speed.
720 RPM auto rifles aren’t popular in the Crucible, but if you want to try it out, there’s a classic combination of Dynamic Sway Reduction and Target Lock. Dynamic Sway Reduction increases stability and accuracy when holding down the trigger, while Target Lock makes the weapon more forgiving. For 6v6, there’s also Kill Clip in the fourth column to increase damage when reloading after a kill.
How to get Arctic Haze in Destiny 2
To get your hands on the Arctic Haze auto rifle in Destiny 2, complete public events on Europa or complete a Europa Weapon Quest from Variks. The quest guarantees an auto rifle, but you need Herealways Pieces to pick it up, which can be farmed by completing Europa activities like Lost Sectors, public events, and patrols.
Variks’s upgrades:If you don’t have the weapon quests, make sure to unlock the European Explorer I upgrade at Variks.
The quest drops a Tier 3 version of the weapon. While you can increase the Tier, if you want to farm Tier 5 straight away, wait until there’s a Distortion on Europa (you can track Distortions using a third-party website). Distortion makes the enemies more dangerous and guarantees a Tier 5 drop from Heroic public events.
