Arabica Coffee Finds Support on Strength in the Brazilian Real

Brazil Ice MAR Mar ICE the USDA FAS Vietnam International Coffee Organization

March arabica coffee (KCH24) this morning is up +3.20 (+1.77%), and Mar ICE robusta coffee (RMH24) is down -15 (-0.51%).

Coffee prices this morning are mixed, with arabica posting a 1-week high.  Arabica coffee is seeing support from today's climb in the real (^USDBRL) to a 1-week high against the dollar.  A stronger real discourages export selling by Brazil's coffee producers.  Robusta prices gave up early gains and turned lower after Vietnam's General Department of Customs revised its Vietnam 2023 coffee export volume up to 1.62 MMT from 1.60 MMT last month.
