The Saudi-led Arab coalition announced on Saturday that it had destroyed four armed drones fired by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen towards the southern region of the Kingdom.
It revealed that the attack targeted a desalination plant in al-Shuqaiq and an Aramco facility in Jazan.
The coalition also announced the interception and downing of a Houthi ballistic missile fired towards civilian locations in Jazan city.
It said the Houthis used ballistic missiles, drones and cruise missiles in their escalation.
The terrorist Houthis also targeted a power station in Dhahran al-Janub and a gas station in Khamis Mushait. No causalities were reported. Civilian vehicles and some homes were damaged in the attacks.
The coalition condemned the Houthis for their escalation, saying it was their reply to the Ggulf peace initiative and reflection of their rejection of peace efforts.
