Apprentice 'flop' Alex Mills has last laugh as he boasts £16m empire after cleaning job

Former Apprentice star Alex Mills now ranks among some of the biggest stars in the UK as one of the richest young people in the nation after his appearance on the BBC show.

Alex, now 31, was famously fired by Lord Alan Sugar when he appeared on the hit reality TV show back in 2013 after his lack of focus sparked anger within Lord Sugar.

However, nine years on from being branded a 'flop' on the BBC show, Alex now boasts an eye-watering fortune worth £16million.

Alex, who has been named on the Sunday Times Rich List of young millionaires, is now one of the richest contestants to ever appear on the show.

His path to fame and fortune hasn't been a straightforward one however.

The former Apprentice star failed his GCSEs and previously worked a housekeeper with an hourly rate of £4.20 an hour.

After failing and picking himself back up again, Alex set up his insurance start-up company which proved to be an instant success.

The businessman's hard work has certainly paid off as he now lives an extraordinary life with an expensive taste.

The former TV star bought his first Ferrari with his first plush pay-check, with the vehicle ranging in price of £368,000.

In May this year Alex unveiled another brand new Ferrari Roma as he gushed about his lavish purchase on social media.

The Welsh native also lives in a huge mansion in Wenvoe, Wales with his gorgeous wife, Emma.

Alex and Emma often post loved-up snaps on their respective Instagram accounts, and it appears that the lovebirds enjoy a quiet life at home with their beloved dogs, Elton and Benji.

Following his memorable stint on The Apprentice, Alex has shared his hopes to replace Lord Sugar on the hit BBC series.

"Sixteen people put their lives on pause to get investment from Alan Sugar. I think there should be some form of commitment afterwards.

"We didn’t get to speak to him much - just in the boardroom and in the final for two minutes and that’s it. Maybe a personal note from him would be nice," he explained.
