Appeal against decision to reject £200m 'Ryder Cup' golf course to tee off

Bolton's Holiday Inn will host an appeal into the local council's rejection of a £200m plan to build a golf course fit to host a future edition of the Ryder Cup.

Landowner Peel L&P will make its case to the Planning Inspectorate on Thursday, October 6, and Friday, October 7, after Bolton Council refused the Hulton Park proposal earlier this year.

The hearing comes after previous versions of the development were approved by the local authority in 2018 and by the government two years later.
