Detectives in Renfrewshire are appealing for information following a fire at a derelict hospital building in Paisley.
Officers were called to reports of a fire at the former Royal Alexandra Hospital in Neilston Road around 8pm on Wednesday (March 16).
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire. Nobody was injured.
Following initial investigations, police have established that the fire was started as a result of reckless behaviour.
Extensive enquiries are now ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Detective Inspector Ian Ross, from Paisley CID, said: "Whilst investigations are at an early stage, I am appealing for anyone with information about what happened to come forward.
"I would urge anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, who perhaps noticed people in the immediate area of the building, or anything at all suspicious, to get in touch.
