Newcastle United could clinch the signature of Anthony Gordon over the weekend with sources close to the deal claiming the transfer has been agreed.
The Magpies were not prepared to pay £60million for his services but a structured deal close to £45million with incentives is close to completion. The appointment of Sean Dyche as manager is also set to speed up the process with the player still determined to leave the club.
Newcastle have made it clear that Gordon is the forward they want to add pace to their attack. But the Magpies have maintained a dignified silence as Gordon plots an exit.

Gordon was back at training today after a three-day absence at Finch Farm. He turned up this morning and was one of the first players to leave.
Dyche has plans to meet Gordon but the incoming funds could be ploughed back into the squad with Everton fighting the drop.
