Anthony Elanga sends message to Erik ten Hag with Manchester United training video

Manchester United striker Anthony Elanga has delivered a message to his newly-appointed manager Erik ten Hag after being filmed putting in some intense work away from the training ground. Elanga and his United teammates are ready to embark on their pre-season tour this week.

Jetting off to Thailand, Australia and Norway before their Premier League charge gets underway against Brighton on Sunday, August 7, there are golden opportunities for Elanga and other United talents to put forward their case to be involved on a regular basis when main business commences.

Elanga, 20, enjoyed a breakthrough season under former interim manager Ralf Rangnick last term when little else went to plan from a team perspective. In addition to 27 first-team outings for United, Elanga also won his first five caps for Sweden.

Hoping to kick-on this season, the wideman has been through some intense sessions aside from squad work under Ten Hag at Carrington and a social media video has been spotted by United supporters. Here are some comments they made about Elanga as taken from Twitter;

@eyez1218 said: "The attitude on point. Erik will help his football intelligence and skill... room for growth."

@utdarchive posted: "This young lad gets too much hate but this is nothing special most people go to the gym."

@weebo76 added: "He was one of our only players that didn't down tools last year."

@YahyaGaucho said: "They better show this on the pitch this next season, we are fed up already with the social media posts and all that drama, we need some real performances [on the pitch], not short movies."

@unitedfanzone7 posted: "Hard work always pays, all the best young lad."

@MUFCAlistair added: "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
