Ant & Dec spotted at airport ahead of filming for I’m A Celeb’s All Star special in South Africa

TV favourites Ant & Dec have been spotted at Heathrow Airport ahead of filming the All Star spin-off of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The special edition will be one of two versions of the show that will air next year, with the standard series also returning in the autumn.

The new spin-off, which will be pre-recorded, will reunite Ant & Dec with some of the popular ITV show's most beloved contestants. Read here for a list of all the series' rumoured contestants.

The presenting duo were photographed in comfy clothing for their British Airways flight to South Africa. They will return to host the spin-off, having hosted the original show since it began in 2002.

Accompanying the photographs, which feature in The Sun, a TV source said: “Fans have been crying out for a Best Of series for years, and their prayers are being answered. The normal show will be filmed in Australia as planned, unless Covid makes it impossible again. The South African project is in no way a back-up, it’s a completely different series.

"It will see all of the iconic names who have made the show so popular over the years return to the campfire and battle it out to be crowned the Best Of champion."

The source continued: “The camp mates will be doing trials and living in the camp environment, but with fresh and exciting new twists on the format. The campmates will have a hand in their own destiny through a series of internal votes and challenges. This new edition is likely to air in 2023 but before that viewers will get to enjoy the show's much anticipated return to Australia in November.”

Whilst an official start date is yet to be announced for this year's series of the original I'm A Celebrity, bosses have confirmed the show will return to its home in Australia after a two-year stint in Wales. The series was located at Gwrych Castle in Abergele in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. You can see who is rumoured for the I'm A Celebrity 2022 line-up here.
