Ant & Dec's Limitless Win gets second series despite fans branding it 'complicated'

Ant and Dec's Limitless Win has been renewed for a second series - despite fans branding it "complicated".

The ITV game show - hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly - has come under fire by some viewers for being too difficult to understand whilst others have called it "slow moving".

But ahead of the final episode this weekend, ITV bosses have confirmed the show - which sees contestants climb a money ladder to win a limitless jackpot - has been recommissioned for another series.

Confirming the news, the presenting duo said they were ready for "another series of nail-biting drama, jeopardy and tension".

Ant and Dec's Limitless Win will be back (ITV)

"We are thrilled that Limitless Win has been a hit with the viewers and is coming back for more. We're beyond excited to be able do it all over again and we can’t wait to find new contestants to play the first TV show with a limitless jackpot!" Ant said.

Whilst Dec added: "We’re already preparing ourselves for another series of nail-biting drama, jeopardy and tension as we present more questions you can’t help but Google! We’re expecting more, and higher, dizzying climbs up the Limitless money ladder. We can’t wait."

The duo will return for a new series (ITV)

Katie Rawcliffe, ITV Head of Entertainment Commissioning, commented: "Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win has quickly become an audience favourite, with families up and down the country playing along from home - from searching their kitchen cupboards to identify the length of a Pringles tube to Googling the width of Michael Jordan’s handspan."

"We are thrilled ITV has commissioned a series two so quickly and that the show has had such a great response from viewers and critics alike. We can’t wait to crack on with the next series and get viewers hooked on even more of those brilliant play-a-long questions," Victoria Ashbourne, CEO for Hello Dolly and Executive Producer of Limitless Win, shared.

The show confused some viewers (ITV)

When the show launched earlier this year, some fans were left puzzled by the ITV game show.

"Oh dear #LimitlessWin just doesn't work!!! Too slow, too complicated and all a bit pointless really as they don't even have to get the answer right to go up the ladder!!!" one wrote as it made its debut.

A second shared: " #LimitlessWin the hell is going on - way to complicated for a Saturday night - easy viewing prime TV slot."

*The current series of Ant and Dec's Limitless Win ends this Saturday.
