Ant and Dec left embarrassed at BAFTA awards after on stage blunder

Geordie duo Ant and Dec were left feeling slightly embarrassed on stage at the BAFTA awards last night (Sunday, May 8). They won Best Entertainment Show for ITV Saturday Night Takeaway before making an on stage blunder.

After giving their speech thanking everyone, the pair struggled to find their way off stage. Ant said: "Well that’s awkward isn’t it."

Richard Ayoade, actor and comedian, joked: “Maybe they should pay less attention to the programme and more about where to walk off stage. A thought for next year," reports BirminghamLive.

After being awarded, Dec had said: "We were convinced we weren't going to get it this year so we came for a bit of a party." Ant added: "We love doing it, we still love doing it."

The presenting best friends got up on stage at the Royal Festival Hall on London's Southbank to collect their award. They have won this category four times now.
