Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec break down in tears as a contestant is surprised by his daughters with an audition.
The duo are back on our screens this Saturday night as the hosts of the brand new series of the ITV telly talent show.
Viewers will see the emotional scenes unfold during the first episode of the new run.
Speaking about surprises, Ant said: "There were a few. We surprised somebody in the audience. He was surprised by his daughters and was asked to come on stage and perform that day.
"He thought he had just come to watch the show! He went away for an hour or two, rehearsed, and then at the end of that session came back and performed the song. That was very emotional."
Dec added: "That was a tearjerker! That’s what's amazing about BGT is that you never quite know the next act if it's going to have you in tears, in hysterics, floods of rage because it's not as good as you’d hoped.
"You just never know what emotions you're going to feel for the next act. That's what's so magic about it."
Saturday, April 16 at 8pm is the broadcast time for the new series and artwork for the show sees Simon Cowell taking on the role of ring master in what is set to be a TV circus.
In a video promo for BGT, Ant and Dec can also be seen dragging one contestant off stage.
Last year's show was scrapped due to Covid restrictions so it's great to see everyone back for some more high jinks including David Walliams winding up Simon Cowell on the judging panel, eccentric acts performing and Amanda Holden open mouthed at some of the daredevil performers.
