Ant and Dec forced to apologise after Bruno swore on Britain's Got Talent

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were forced to apologise live on air on Wednesday night after Bruno Tonioli was caught swearing on Britain's Got Talent.

Viewers immediately picked up on Bruno's bad language on Tuesday night, and Ant and Dec opened Wednesday's show with an apology. Bruno was overheard saying 'f***ing hell' as sword swallower Andrew Stanton took to the stage for his performance during the semi-finals.

The blunder wasn't acknowledged until Wednesday evening when the hosting duo poked fun at Bruno, while the audience could be heard booing in the background. Ant said: "Now before we carry on, we have to just say sorry if you heard a bit of choice language on this show last night."

Ant proceeded to point out the former Strictly Come Dancing judge as Dec gave him the side eye on stage, but Bruno just looked around as if he didn't know they were talking to him.

Ant continued: "There will be none of that this evening," while Bruno gasped as he looked at his fellow judges. Dec then added: "We're not looking at anybody... right anyway," as Bruno put his head in his hands.

Dec jokingly held Ant's hand as they made their way to the stage (ITV screengrab)

The foul-mouthed comment came as Daredevil Andrew took to the stage again leaving Amanda Holden screaming at the gruesome act, which left viewers at home turning their TVs off.

The contestant pulled off a series of gruesome tasks for his latest performance, from sword swallowing and sticking giant springs up his nose, to dragging a truck along the stage using hooks attached to his eye sockets.

Andrew invited all four judges on stage to sit in the truck while he pulled the vehicle along with the hooks attached to his face. As Bruno stepped into the truck, he turned to Simon and said something which sounded like: "F***ing hell Simon, not again."

The moment did not go unnoticed, and one fan tweeted: "Bruno just said 'f***ing hell Simon, not again'," as a second said: "Did he just say f***ing hell???"

Another said: "I thought I heard Bruno swearing to Simon on stage about the act f***ing hell simon not this again or something along those lines."

Britain's Got Talent continues on Thursday at 8pm on STV.
