Another lay day at Margaret River surfing

Kelly Slater is among 32 men waiting to resume the Margaret River Pro after a lay day was called. (AAP)

Organisers have postponed action at the World Surf League's Margaret River Pro due to small waves on Monday.

The women's event is up to the semi-final stage with two Australians, Bronte Macaulay and Isabella Nichols, set to meet with the winner advancing to the title decider.

American Courtney Conlogue and Hawaiian Gabriela Bryan are in the other semi-final.

Olympic medallist Owen Wright is among eight Australian men who must wait at least another day for their round-of-32 clashes.

Veteran Kelly Slater remains in the field, as does current world No.1 Felipe Toledo of Brazil.
