In the trailer, Solène takes her daughter to Coachella after her ex-husband cancels their plans, leading to an unexpected encounter with Campbell, the lead singer of the popular boy band August Moon. As their romance blossoms, Solène must navigate the challenges of balancing her career, motherhood, and a high-profile relationship while dealing with media scrutiny.
The trailer also features the film's debut single, 'Dance Before We Walk,' which sets the tone for the characters' whirlwind romance filled with luxurious vacations, private jets, and electrifying concerts. Directed by Michael Showalter and co-written with Jennifer Westfeldt, The Idea of You is set to close the 2024 SXSW Film & TV Festival on March 16.
