Anne Hathaway recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote her new film, 'The Idea of You,' based on Robinne Lee’s novel. During the show, Hathaway encountered an awkward moment when she asked the live audience if anyone had read the book, only to be met with complete silence. The uncomfortable pause prompted Fallon to humorously intervene, joking that they don't read on The Tonight Show and suggesting going to Stephen Colbert's show for book enthusiasts.
The clip of the segment went viral on social media, with many praising Fallon's quick wit in diffusing the situation. Hathaway, visibly relieved, joined in the laughter before quipping, 'What’s a book?' The incident showcased the playful banter between the actress and the host.
