Reports have surfaced that a sequel to the beloved 2006 film, The Devil Wears Prada, is in the works. The sequel is said to bring back the original star-studded cast, including Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. Aline Brosh McKenna, the screenwriter of the first film, is currently penning the script for the follow-up movie, which is being developed by Disney.
Wendy Finerman, the producer of the original film, is set to return, as well as the director, David Frankel. The original movie, based on Lauren Weisberger's novel, follows the story of Andy Sachs (played by Hathaway), who becomes the assistant to the formidable fashion editor Miranda Priestly (portrayed by Streep). The film explores the dynamics of the fashion industry and the personal growth of its characters.
