Angelique Kerber, the 36-year-old German tennis star, continues to defy expectations with her impressive performance at the French Open. Despite announcing her retirement after Paris 2024, Kerber's farewell tour has been extended as she secured a spot in the quarterfinals by defeating Canada's Leylah Fernandez in a convincing 6-4, 6-2 victory.

Kerber boasts an illustrious career, having clinched three grand slam singles titles, an Olympic silver medal at Rio 2016, and a total of 14 career singles titles. Her recent resurgence on the court has captivated fans and pundits alike, with her stellar play reminiscent of her prime years.
