Angelina Jolie to step down from UN refugee envoy role after 20 years

Angelina Jolie is set to leave her role as special envoy to the United Nations’ refugee agency after more than two decades.

In a joint statement issued Friday, the actress and the agency announced she was “moving on” from her role “to engage on a broader set of humanitarian and human rights issues”.
