Hollywood star Angelina Jolie made a special visit to Alabama to support her daughter Zahara at a brunch aimed at raising awareness about period poverty.
The event took place at a Hotel in the city, where Zahara served as the keynote speaker. The star kid, who joined Spelman College’s chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority in November 2023, delivered a powerful speech on the subject of 'period poverty', that had the audience giving her a standing ovation. This subject refers to women and girls facing insufficient access to menstrual products, education, and sanitation facilities.
