Angela Lansbury 's much loved Los Angeles home has reportedly hit the market following her death last year, as her family say they "need to move on".
The actress owned the four bedroom home for nearly 40 years and has now been said to be listed for $4.5 million by her family.
The Murder She Wrote star bought the stunning Brentwood property with her husband in 1985 and owned it until her death, aged 96, back in October.
Her home comes complete with four bathrooms, a swimming pool and a skylit formal dining room, with a photographer commissioned to take pictures ahead of the sale describing the property as "enchanting and exquisite."
Angela's daughter Deirdre admitted it the sale decision came as it was "time to move on" despite it being her mum's "perfect" home.
Lansbury reportedly paid $925,000 for the property which is the equivalent of around $2.5 million today.
The homes has an English cottage-style with large windows, skylights, French doors and fireplaces throughout.
A large portrait of the late homeowner still sits in the formal dining room.
Daughter Deirdre said her mother who wasn't "into material things" and led a low-key lifestyle.
"Neither she nor my father came from money, and they appreciated everything they had,” she told the Wall Street Journal.
“A lot of big stars these days, they forget. But they never did.
"Deciding to sell the property was difficult for the family, but it’s something we all need to move on. That’s what Mom would want.”
Photographer Joe Bryant, who took the images of Angela's beloved home ready for the sale, recalled his experience snapping the late star's abode with the Mirror.
"As I stepped through the enchanting front gate of Angela Lansbury's residence, I immediately sensed the profound love she held for her home. The sight of a watering can and the multitude of potted plants scattered about revealed her unmistakable passion for gardening," he told us.
He continued: "The entire dwelling exuded a mystical aura that cannot be easily articulated; it was the way the house warmly embraced you within each room's comforting atmosphere. What struck me the most was the home's modernity, despite its age, and the subtle updates she had implemented over the years.
"The truly captivating spaces within the abode included the main living area, the kitchen, her office, and her exquisite bedroom. The master bathroom, with its central bathtub, showcased awe-inspiring architectural brilliance—the bathtub an evident update from a more recent time.
"However, it was the backyard that captivated me. Angela's home radiated an air of love and joy, which continued as I ventured past the swimming pool and into the garden. There, I discovered a magical greenhouse—her secret garden, nestled so perfectly and privately away from the world."
He added: "It was undoubtedly her sanctuary, and I felt deeply honored to have been chosen to capture its essence through my lens for Mick Partridge, The Beverly Hills Estates.
"As a professional photographer who has had the pleasure of photographing some of the most iconic homes including The One and George Raun's 150 million dollar estate, among many others, I can attest to the meticulous and caring approach exhibited by Mick's team, a testament to their genuine dedication to their craft.
"I am both humbled and grateful to have played a small part in preserving Angela Lansbury's legacy through my photographs of the home she so dearly cherished."
Angela passed away in the home back in October 2022 when she was just five days shy of her 97th birthday.
She scooped up numerous awards for her talent throughout her decades-long career and became one of the biggest names in showbusiness.
Angela is best known for her role as amateur detective Jessica Fletcher in the hit-US drama series Murder, She Wrote, which ran for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996.
The actress was nominated for ten Golden Globes for the role, winning four of them along with nominations for 12 Emmy Awards.
In 1991, Angela made her major break onto the big screen when she voiced Mrs. Potts in the Disney musical Beauty and the Beast.
In her youth, Angela had dreamed of being cast as a romantic leading lady but was instead given roles 20 years older than she was.
At 22 years old, the actress had already played the 35-year-old wife of Walter Pidgeon in If Winter Comes and a snooty 45-year-old publisher in State of the Union.
"I played so many hags 20 years older than myself in those early films that now everyone thinks I'm 80 years old!
"I never had those chocolate-box looks they wanted for romantic leads in those days," she said in a 1984 interview with PEOPLE.
Yet she enjoyed "a longevity of career that has outlasted many of the leading ladies who relied on their looks."
