Callum McGregor reckons it's no surprise Ange Postecoglou is being linked with money-spinning moves to the English Premier League - saying his impact at Celtic speaks for itself.
Reports down south have the Australian in the running for the Chelsea job which is set to be vacant once again come the summer. Frank Lampard has taken interim charge but things haven't gone to plan and the Stamford Bridge side are considering a number of options to be installed as their next permanent boss.
Postecoglou is believed to be among them having led a stunning turnaround at Celtic and exit talk is only likely to intensify as he approaches the end of his second full season which could end with a domestic Treble if they win the Scottish Cup. Mauricio Pochettino remains the favourite to replace Graham Potter while Burnley boss Vincent Kompany ranks high in the betting but both Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique are believed to have decided against it.
Should they make their move for Postecoglou, McGregor reckons he has all the tools to succeed in the Premier League. But he's desperate for him to stay in Glasgow's east end.
McGregor said: "He’s been fantastic here, he’s had a really good tenure and we want to keep him. His work is outstanding and he’s a good person as well. That’s the type of people you want to work with and we would be delighted to keep him.
"His work speaks for itself. That’s going to get people talking but I think his full focus is on the job at hand. If we can keep him we will be delighted.”
