Former world number one Andy Murray says that consistent cramping issues are a 'big concern' and have hampered him in recent tournaments, a problem he has not faced before.
The 35-year-old has overcome significant hip, back and knee injuries in recent years and now faces a new problem ahead of the US Open first round on August 29. Cramp problems impacted Murray as fellow Briton Cameron Norrie came from behind to beat him in the Cincinnati Open yesterday.
In his final warm-up before the US Open, Murray won the first set 6-3 only for cramp to set in as Norrie came back to win the next two sets 6-3,6-4 to book a third-round place.
