Andy Burnham has admitted that being blocked from standing in the Gorton and Denton by-election was “hard”, but said he still worked with Sir Keir Starmer afterwards.
The new prime minister explained that things can “get difficult in terms of personal relationships in politics”, when asked about the current position of his relationship with his predecessor.
