Andrew Tate has cast doubt on the idea that he will fight Jake Paul, admitting that he is a bit of a fan of the American YouTuber-turned-boxer.
The four-time kickboxing world champion never made a particularly large amount of money during his fighting career, but after retiring became a multi-millionaire. And over the past year Tate, along with his brother Tristan, has become one of the most notorious influencers on social media with his abrasive motivational videos.
Tate has flirted with the notion of translating his newfound fame online into an influencer boxing match, having negotiated with both Jake and his brother Logan Paul as well as KSI. However, speaking with Adin Ross, the former kickboxer seemed to pour cold water on the idea of a bout between he and the younger Paul, saying that the negotiations are very complex.
“I don’t think me and Jake Paul are going to fight,” Tate told Ross during a recent Twitch stream. “There’s a lot of negotiations behind the scenes, it’s not a simple process and actually, between you and I actually quite like Jake. It's Logan who's full of s***. The day me and Logan speak is not going to be for some Twitch stream bulls***."
Jake and Tate went face-to-face twice recently in Dubai; first for a video shared on the American's social media page, and second at ringside as they both attended Floyd Mayweather vs Deji. However, the controversial kickboxer has never met his older brother Logan, with whom he appears to have a legitimate feud.

Tate is now back on Twitter, and maintains a strong presence on social media, although he was banned from every platform earlier this year. The Paul brothers had very different responses to his 'cancellation', with Jake helping to share his 'final message' and pushing for him to be reinstated while Logan felt the ban was justified given his views on certain situations.
As such, there is a begrudging respect between Jake and Tate, while there appears to be a legitimate feud with Logan. The elder Paul brother recently called Tate out for a fight in the UFC octagon, planning to use his wrestling background coupled with his boxing abilities against the former fighter.
"I was just talking to Jake about this because he was just with him in Dubai," Logan said on a recent episode of Jeff FM. "Apparently it's a f***ing act, bro - it's a show. Look, we all come in this room and it's a show, an amplified version of ourself. Jake said his brother Tristan is a good, solid, more down to Earth type of guy in real life."
