Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber has announced the sad news of his eldest son's death. Nicholas 'Nick' Lloyd-Webber, the son of Andrew Lloyd Webber and his first wife Sarah Hugill, was a Grammy-nominated composer and record producer who passed away earlier today at the age of 43.
He leaves behind his wife Polly Wiltshire, brothers Alastair Adam Lloyd Webber and William Richard Lloyd Webber, and sisters Imogen Lloyd Webber and Isabella Aurora Lloyd Webber. It's understood he died from stomach cancer.
Confirming his passing, Nick's father Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote on Twitter and Instagram: "I am shattered to have to announce that my beloved elder son Nick died a few hours ago in Basingstoke Hospital. His whole family is gathered together and we are all totally bereft. -ALW"

The news comes just a week after Andrew confirmed Nick was hospitalised 18 months ago after being "critically ill" with "ghastly" cancer, as reported by The Mirror, and just two days after he confirmed Nick had been moved into a hospice to receive urgent medical care there.
"I am absolutely devastated to say that my eldest son Nick is critically ill," Andrew said after Nick was moved to a hospice. "As my friends and family know, he has been fighting gastric cancer for the last 18 months and Nick is now hospitalised.
"We are all praying that Nick will turn the corner. He is bravely fighting with his indomitable humour, but at the moment my place is with him and the family.”
