Andrew and Peter Mandelson update as CPS issues statement on police investigation

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is providing early investigative advice to police regarding inquiries into Lord Peter Mandelson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
The CPS confirmed it is advising the Metropolitan Police on an investigation concerning a 72-year-old man and Thames Valley Police regarding a 66-year-old man.
Lord Peter Mandelson was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office, accused of leaking sensitive government information to Epstein.
A spokesperson for Lord Peter Mandelson stated he "very much regrets" the association with Epstein, and he apologised to Epstein's victims in January.
Keir Starmer removed Lord Peter Mandelson from his role as UK ambassador to Washington in September after new emails revealed the true extent of his relationship with Epstein.
