An Ohio dad is going viral for skipping a furniture upgrade and painting his old couch right in the middle of his living room. The project, which involves turning a dark brown sofa into a lighter beige, has people on TikTok debating the merits of DIY furniture restoration, according to The Nerd Stash.
The video, posted by his daughter @megmiitch, carries the caption “bro what r we doing” and shows the man focused on his work. Instead of moving the couch to a garage, he works directly on the living room carpet without a drop cloth. The choice appears to have left viewers worried about the state of his floors.
