This week’s NFL slate is an absolute doozy. We’ve got the heavyweight Eagles taking on their former coach Doug Pederson, now at the helm of the upstart Jaguars. There’s Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs and Tom Brady’s Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football. Oh, and lest we forget, Kirk Cousins and the Vikings (-3). will take on the Saints in London.
Wait, what? Oof, that last one doesn’t quite fit the definition of “marquee,” does it? And if Cousins playing a game overseas is bad enough, a mural of the Minnesota quarterback in London Town doesn’t really do him or his likeness much justice either:
Kirk Cousins. @Vikings. London Town.
You like that?#NFLUK pic.twitter.com/FBVmJY3SRY

Come. On. That is rough.
The only way that mural actually resembles Cousins is that it’s a human being holding a football who is also wearing a purple No. 8 Vikings jersey. The least you could do in a game where Cousins is someone representing the NFL overseas is to put up a mural that actually looks like him.
NFL fans positively roasted the mural that looked nothing like Cousins
Never seen that man before in my life https://t.co/z7kxnSMF7Z

Apparently Kirk Cousins’ real parents are Mark Ruffalo and Christian Ponder 👀 https://t.co/bv4gyAJho4 pic.twitter.com/jJ5fH9H8bz

My understanding was, England has been inhospitable to Vikings since the death of Harald Hardrada at the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066. https://t.co/R5Te1ndlP0

I am already not excited to visit London the next time I'm there, and I think if I saw this I'd just go straight to the airport. I've seen enough https://t.co/JKch54vD0w
