A quadruple amputee dad who lost his limbs in an accident has spoken of his elation of being able to finally hold his daughters again. Former footballer Jamie Mines says he feels immense gratitude to be able to do all the things a dad should be able to do with their children.
The 39-year-old can hold and cuddle daughters Savannah and Bella Mines and read them their favourite stories. After a horrific accident that almost killed him, the hands that now turn the pages, aren’t the hands he was born with.
His hands are a life-changing gift that the single father from Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, received when he had a double hand transplant. And they are now transforming this young family’s life, the Mirror reports.
