An American in Edinburgh has hit out at the cold weather that we have been experiencing as we come into the heart of spring.
The TikTok expat, ed_in_burgh, shared the video with his followers as he walked around a city street whilst complaining about the chilly end to April that we all experienced.
Of course most of us would expect the weather to have been a touch warmer as the cherry blossoms began to bloom but that has not been the case this year.

The American now living in the capital also showed off that he is picking up the local lingo by referring to the ‘taps aff’ term that us residents use when the sun is shining and it is time to get our tan on.
Sharing his video, which has been watched almost 90,000 time, he said: “Morning Scotland,
“It is the last week of April and I’m not sure if you paid attention but it was below freezing still last night and this morning I’m walking around and it has risen to a balmy 36 degrees fahrenheit (two degrees celsius).
“I keep hearing reference to 'taps aff' weather.
“When is that exactly as it is almost May and it is 'taps an' and if you have more 'taps' put them 'an' as well.
“You have a very pretty country but I have yet to come to terms with the fact it is constantly shrouded in near arctic temperatures.”
One fan responded that he should take into account the geographical location of Edinburgh, they said: “To be fair you're on the same equatorial parallel as The Alaskan Panhandle, Newfoundland and Moscow.”
Whilst another questioned his Scots by replying: “It would be ‘taps oan’ no ‘taps an.’”
Whereas another warned him: “You'll really enjoy the one week of summer we get sometime between June and September.”
